Chair’s Message

Dear Friends, 

I am pleased to accept the role of Chair of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s Board of Directors at this momentous point in St. Joseph’s history.

The Sisters of St. Joseph have served our community for over 121 years with love, care and professionalism. Through their dedication to healthcare they have touched the lives of all of us in a positive way.

I am especially proud, along with my dedicated board, to take on this responsibility as we launch a $75 million campaign to expand and improve the hospital’s already renowned services and programs, with the ultimate goal of continuing to care for you, the residents of greater Hamilton and beyond.  This fall we will open the doors to a state-of-the-art surgical centre at our Charlton Campus.  Over the next few years we will construct a healing place for the mind and body by building a new mental health and medical care centre on our West 5th Campus.  And we will continue to foster groundbreaking research by raising funds to ensure our clinician-scientists have the support necessary to investigate how we can better diagnose and treat the illnesses and diseases that impact so many.

We have assembled an incredible campaign cabinet led by Don Fell, Ron Foxcroft and Mark Chamberlain.  They, along with their team of distinguished cabinet members, are all well-known leaders of our community who are synonymous with success. No doubt, they will ensure our campaign is also met with unquestionable success, making our community even better through good health.

My plea to you, the beneficiaries of this campaign, is that you ask yourself what YOU can do to ensure your own healthy future through your financial commitment to St. Joseph’s.

Together we can help St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton to continue providing timeless care, while making tomorrow’s research discoveries.
