GRAND PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT – ST. JOE’S LOTTERY

 width=

On Jan. 4 at noon, ticket number A-9814711 was drawn as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER in St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery. We’ve since confirmed that Jeffrey H. of Waterdown, Ontario will take home a remarkable prize of $58,065!

“My wife and I support a lot of charity lotteries, but we never win anything,” says Jeff, who was ecstatic with the news—and size—of the grand prize. “I’m not yet sure what we’ll do with the money, but it will go to a good cause.”

In fact, Jeff and his wife have already decided to donate $3,000 of their winnings back to St. Joe’s. Combined with the remaining $58,065 from the 50/50 draw, that means that a total of $61,065 will be used to help fund equipment, research, and renovations to patient care facilities at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. This is especially important as our Hospital continues caring for our community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re grateful to everyone who chose to take part in the Holiday Wishes 50/50 lottery for our community. If you didn’t win, don’t worry just yet! You’ll have more chances to win when our Hope Springs 50/50 lottery launches in February.

The Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery is operated by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation under licence #RAF1224796 issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The winning ticket for our grand prize jackpot (A-9814711) was drawn using an automated, randomized number generation system provided and operated by Ascend Fundraising Solutions and included all verified online ticket purchases made before midnight on Jan. 3, 2022.
