About Us
For more than 50 years, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation has partnered with grateful patients and our community of donors and friends to raise funds that enable our Hospital to deliver on its mission of providing exceptional care for our community, underscored by a deep commitment to delivering it with Unstoppable Compassion. It is with this mission in mind that the Foundation embarks on our next five-year strategic plan.
We will leverage the pillars of a shared strategic plan for the St. Joseph's Health System, integrate the innovative work of the Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton, and remain true to the values of our Founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton. Together with the support of our donors, we will bridge the gaps in healthcare funding for our Hospital, foster innovation in care and research, and impart how every donation to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation has an unstoppable impact at our Hospital and on the lives of the people St. Joe's is honoured to care for.

In April 2013, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation joined the ranks of a select group of charities across Canada to be accredited by Imagine Canada’s Standards Program. The program recognizes excellence in Canadian charities in five areas:
- board governance,
- financial accountability & transparency,
- fundraising practices,
- staff management, and
- volunteer involvement.
