Announcing our Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery Winner
On January 4 at noon, ticket number A-1766105 was drawn as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER in St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery. Congratulations to Julie M. of Brantford who is starting the new year with an extra $27,735!
“I always like to purchase tickets for 50/50s and other charitable lotteries, but I’ve never won anything before,” shared Julie, who was still in disbelief that she had the winning ticket. Julie isn’t quite sure what she’ll do with the winnings just yet, but said she’ll likely share this unexpected win with her two daughters.
Not only is Julie a winner, but our Hospital is too! The remaining half of funds raised will be donated back to St. Joe’s to help fund robotic surgery innovation at our Hospital. Robotic technology, in the hands of our skilled surgeons, is helping patients to go home within days of their procedure with less pain, smaller scars, a speedier recovery plan and greater mobility, too. That’s why support for our community lottery is so important.
Warm congratulations also go out to our five early bird prize winners:
- December 5 ($1,000 Early Bird): Maria Reina V.
- December 12 ($500 Early Bird): Vicki and Bob B.
- December 12 ($500 Early Bird): Susan H.
- December 19 ($1,000 Early Bird): John R Gregory E.
- December 28 ($500 Early Bird): John B.
We are so grateful to everyone who chose to take part in our Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery to ensure a healthier future for our community. From all of us at St. Joe’s Foundation, we wish you a happy, healthy new year! Stay tuned for some exciting news about a new chance to win big while doing good coming soon.
The Holiday Wishes Lottery is operated by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation under licence #RAF1317342 issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The winning ticket for our grand prize jackpot (A-1766105) was drawn using an automated, randomized number generation system provided and operated by Ascend Fundraising Solutions and included all verified online ticket purchases made before midnight on January 3, 2024.
