Announcing our Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery Winner
On January 6 at noon, ticket number A-15004322 was drawn as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER in St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery. Congratulations to Phil H. of Brantford who is starting the new year with an extra $15,000!
“I almost fell off my chair,” said an ecstatic Phil, after learning he’d won the grand prize. Playing the lottery was about more than winning for Phil. He had initially purchased tickets after finding out the 50/50 was supporting critical equipment needs at the Hospital. A supervisor in the Operating Room here at St. Joe’s, Phil knows firsthand the impact of donations and fundraising in helping the Hospital to acquire advanced medical equipment to deliver exceptional patient care.
When asked what he might do with the winnings, Phil shared that he will be donating some of the money back to St. Joe’s Foundation to help support the cause. “Working in the OR, I see these miracles happening all the time. That’s why I’m more than happy to give back and help make a difference.”
