Announcing our Hope Springs 50/50 Lottery Winner
On March 22 at noon, ticket number A-9327781 was drawn as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER in St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s Hope Springs 50/50 Lottery. Congratulations to Susan P. of Hamilton who has won $28,170!
As a breast cancer survivor, Susan says she plays the lottery to give back to healthcare in Hamilton.
“I like to play community lotteries because I know half of the money goes to a good cause, and the other half makes up the prize,” she says.
Susan says she is going to use her winnings for an upcoming trip to Newfoundland. “Although, now we can expand our trip to beyond Atlantic Canada,” she laughs.
This lottery will help to renew our 11 Birthing Rooms and expand the Special Care Nursery. New features will include enhanced infection control materials, dimmable lighting, and décor elements that are inspired by nature. The new Birthing Rooms will help parents to deliver their baby in the way that feels most comfortable for them. While the expanded Special Care Nursery will help us to care for more babies who need a little extra love and medical attention.
Warm congratulations also goes out to our two early bird prize winners, who each took home $500 cash in the lead up to the final grand prize draw on Wednesday, March 22.
- March 7 Early Bird Winner: Christina S.
- March 14 Early Bird Winner: Tony S.
Thank you to everyone for playing St. Joe’s Hope Springs 50/50 Lottery and helping to give babies and families the best start possible. From all of us at St. Joe’s Foundation, we wish you a very hoppy spring!
