Appointment Notice:
Carrie Trembinski, BA, APR
Vice-President, Communications &
Community Engagement

St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Carrie Trembinski, APR, to the role of Vice-President, Communications & Community Engagement. In this newly expanded role, Carrie will continue to lead the marketing and communications efforts of the Foundation while also providing strategic oversight to the special events and cause-related marketing portfolios.

Carrie is an alumna of McMaster University, graduating with an Hons. B.A. in sociology and a minor in women’s studies. She holds a post-graduate certificate in public relations (PR) from Humber College and is one of a select group of PR professionals in Canada to be accredited by the Canadian Public Relations Society.

After beginning her career at her alma mater, McMaster University, Carrie held a series of increasingly senior level roles at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation across the donor relations, communications and annual giving teams. Over the past two decades, Carrie has headed up the national PR efforts for PetSmart Charities of Canada, led internal communications for the long-term care division of Revera, one of North America’s largest senior living companies; and worked in product PR and issues management for the global pharmaceutical company, GlaxoSmithKline Inc.

A strong believer in giving back to the communities in which she lives and works, Carrie is past co-chair of the Pinnacle Awards portfolio and a former member of the board of the Hamilton Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society. She’s currently a member of the board of directors of the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.

Carrie is passionate about storytelling and has dedicated her career to communicating and advocating on behalf of companies and causes that are close to her heart. She looks forward to continuing to work with the greater Hamilton community and with the dedicated team at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation to raise funds that will help St. Joe’s to provide exceptional care while pursuing research that will create a healthier future for all.
