We are thrilled to share that our 22nd Annual Holiday Gala on Saturday, November 2nd at LiUNA Station raised an amazing total of $560,000! It is an incredible achievement and one we could not have accomplished without all of our generous donors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, committee members and guests!

Those funds will be used to help our Hospital expand and evolve to meet the needs of the patients and families we’re honoured to serve. Thanks to your generosity, we’re one step closer to reconstructing our Psychiatric Emergency Service to meet the growing demand for emergency mental health services in Hamilton. You also helped us make significant progress towards our fundraising for the purchase of the next generation surgical robot, which will help ensure St. Joseph’s continues to be a national leader in robotic surgery.

Our Hospital and our Foundation would also like to express our sincere thanks for your generous bids during the capital equipment drive to help us raise an incredible $237,600 to secure a dedicated breast-imaging ultrasound machine, in addition to other vital equipment. This new ultrasound will help our radiologists to offer quicker, more accurate diagnoses to the one in eight Canadian women who will develop breast cancer during their lifetime—women like Teresa Wright, who so bravely shared her story with us that evening
