The Felix Reunion: Fifty Years in the Making

Felix is a band built on friendship, community, and the music of their era. Formed over 50 years ago, Felix spent a memorable decade performing throughout the community, playing many high schools, universities and colleges, local bars, and countless weddings. As a lively cover band, Felix became known for bringing people together on dance floors, performing the popular hits of the time that audiences loved to sing along to and dance to. The band’s performances were always about connection, fun, and shared memories.

Felix was founded by Emilio Grimaldi a very close friend and band member who also gave the band its name, inspired by an image of Felix the Cat. His passion for music and community shaped the band from the beginning. He passed away far too soon from breast cancer in 2001.

Now, after 50 years, the members of Felix have reunited for The Felix Reunion: Fifty Years in the Making — a charity fundraiser in support of St. Joseph’s Breast Cancer Patient Care. This reunion is both a celebration of the band’s history and a meaningful way to honour their founder, reconnect with the community, and give back to our community through music.
