Around the Bay Road Race

The weather forecast for the 2026 Around the Bay Road Race just got a wee bit warmer! Race Director Anna Lewis has announced that the 132nd running of the oldest road race in North America will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026 — a two-week shift from the event's long-standing tradition of being hosted on the last Sunday in March. The new date comes with a new start and finish line location near Hamilton Harbour for the signature 30K distance. Start times and full race route details are available at www.bayrace.com.

This year, funds raised through the Around the Bay Road Race will support much needed healthcare equipment at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. We know it seems odd that things like ultrasound machines or wheelchairs aren't something that's funded by the operational dollars St. Joe's receives from the province. But the fact is, nearly every piece of equipment used inside our Hospital are funded by donations from people like you, and funds raised through events like the Bay Race.
