We are pleased to announce that our 2020 Community Champion for the 126th The Around the Bay (ATB) Road Race is Jeff Paikin, President and co-founder of New Horizon Development Group! Jeff’s lead fundraising role was announced at a media launch event hosted on Feb. 10, 2020.
Jeff’s history community involvement and a personal family connection to St. Joe’s made him the perfect fit for an ATB Community Champion.
“My father was the treasurer for the Foundation board, a couple of my kids were born there, I’ve been operated on there, my wife worked there…my great grandfather who emigrated to Hamilton back in 1907 was helped by St. Joe’s, so I can legitimately say they have been taking care of my family for over 100 years.”
As a homebuilder, Jeff’s goal is to inspire his colleagues and contemporaries to join his team “on behalf of the community that builds the community” to raise $100,000 of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation’s over-arching $475,000 goal for the event. Funds raised will help to renew our Psychiatric Emergency Service at the Charlton Campus.
Around the Bay takes places on Sunday, March 29th, 2020. You can register today at stjoesfoundation.ca/atb
