A New Way to Support St. Joe’s

Our Foundation is a Grateful Beneficiary of Maple (Re) Leaf: A National Fundraising Campaign to Support Mental Health Programs across Canada

You can now support Mental Health Services at St. Joe’s while adding a little flare to your garden through the brand-new Maple (Re) Leaf initiative. You won’t be-leaf how unique this fundraising campaign is, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation is proud to be a beneficiary!

Maple (Re) Leaf is a Canada-wide art installation campaign raising funds for Mental Health programs and services in communities across the country, including right here at St. Joe’s. As the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to take a toll on all of our mental health and emotional wellbeing, there’s never been a better time to take part in this new initiative.

There’s more than a little star-power behind this campaign as Canadian icons and celebrities such as Jason Priestley, Kim Coates, Jully Black and more, have all filmed videos inviting YOU to be a part of Maple Re(Leaf). The Maple Leaf itself is designed by renowned Canadian artist, Charles Pachter – and you can get one of your very own! See below to learn how!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Visit this page and select St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation from the list of participating charities. Make a minimum $30 donation to support mental health services at St. Joe’s.
  2. In return, we’ll plant one Maple Leaf on your behalf at our art installation site*, in addition to sending you a digital badge replica available to download.
  3. Businesses and organizations are also encouraged to consider supporting this campaign through sponsorship, allowing for even more beautiful Maple Leaves to be planted and more funds to be raised to support mental health programs offered by St. Joe’s. To learn more about the sponsorship opportunities available, click here.

To learn more about the program visit maplereleaf.ca. For additional questions, please reach out to Mark Brogno, Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation at 905-870-4239 or via email at mark@stjoesfoundation.ca.

*The organizers of the Maple (Re)Leaf Campaign request that a minimum of 1,500 leaves are sold before an art installation can be implemented in a particular region. Should that threshold not be reached, the leaves donated in the Hamilton region will be added to another nearby art installation.
