March Match is Here: It’s $50K for Around the Bay!
March is here and we’re thrilled to share that all month long, we’ll be matching donations made to sponsor St. Joe’s staff members and St. Joe’s teams participating in the Around the Bay Road Race!
We have up to $50,000 in matching funds to be used, and every gift* to a Hospital staff member or team taking part in the race is eligible.
This year, funds raised through the Around the Bay Road Race will support much needed healthcare equipment at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. We know it seems odd that things like ultrasound machines or wheelchairs aren’t something that’s funded by the operational dollars St. Joe’s receives from the province. But the fact is, nearly every piece of equipment used inside our Hospital is funded through donations from people like you, and funds raised through events like the Bay Race.
So please know that the funds you raise on your walk or run are having a real impact on the lives of the patients we serve here at St. Joe’s, and during March Match, every dollar you raise is doubled to make an even bigger impact.

*Gifts of $10 – $5,000 to sponsor any St. Joe’s staff member taking part in the 2026 Around the Bay Road Race will be matched dollar for dollar. Gifts will be matched until the entirety of the $50,000 matching fund is leveraged.
