Our Gala Raises More Than $370,000 for St. Joe’s!

We are immensely grateful to all the sponsors, donors, auction bidders and guests who joined us on Saturday, Sept. 18 for an elegant evening of mixology, fine food, friendship and entertainment at A Mid-September Mixer. This year’s virtual event saw our community come together to raise more than $370,000 to support patient care and research at St. Joe’s.

Guests of our online event enjoyed all the experiences that are customary of our in-person Gala thanks to Celebration Boxes delivered to their doorsteps. Each box included a multi-course, chef-prepared meal for two from LiUNA Station, imported wines from Italy, a mixology kit from Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers, flowers, coasters, décor, and so much more.

In keeping with our tradition, guests who tuned into our live-streamed Gala had the opportunity to take part in all of the excitement of our Silent and Vintage Wine & Spirits auctions, musical entertainment, cocktail/mocktail mixing tutorials, greetings from a sommelier, and more. Proceeds of this year’s event will go toward our Hospital’s highest-priority needs, including:

• Creating a new CT suite in our busy Emergency Department to save lives, while addressing wait times for CT scans put on hold during the pandemic’s peak.
•  Advancing research into cutting-edge robotic surgery to help patients heal faster, and get home sooner, while catching up on surgical cases put on pause during COVID-19.
• Funding new ventilators for our Complex Care Unit to replace the existing fleet, which has seen much wear and tear during COVID-19, and is nearing the end of its lifespan.

Since the Gala’s inception, and thanks to the generous support of our community, this event has raised nearly $6 million to support St. Joe’s. We hope you can join us to carry on the tradition of generosity, enjoyment and celebration as we plan ahead to 2022, when we may be able to gather in-person to mark the 25th anniversary of this wonderful philanthropic event to raise funds for our Hospital.
