As part of our continuing quest to deliver exceptional care, St. Joe’s proudly opened its new state-of-the-art surgical centre in the fall of 2011.  The Centre’s 3,500 square foot Minor Procedures Unit was opened in early 2012 and was recently supported through the generosity of the Mackay family. Autism Sprectrum Disorder can impair a child’s social interaction, communication, language development and behaviour.  To date, there is no cure, but researchers at St. Joe’s are getting closer to understanding its root cause through a project funded in part by the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada.
