Paris to Ancaster: A Ride for Research Helps to Pedal Medical Innovation Forward
They rode. They conquered. They got really muddy. And many of them chose to support St. Joe’s. We are so grateful to all who participated, raised funds and donated through this year’s Paris to Ancaster bike race supporting health research at our Hospital. For the seventh year in a row, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation was proud to return as the sole charity beneficiary of this spring cycling classic. Since partnering with the race organizers, over $350,000 has been raised to help fund innovative healthcare research and the advancement of patient care at St. Joe’s.
Thank you to all of our Hospital colleagues, fundraising teams and individual supporters who conquered tough terrain this past weekend to help our researchers conquer tough diseases. A big congratulations to Drs. Ask, Inman and Shargall who teamed up to complete the utterly grueling 100 km course. There’s still time to help them cross the finish line and reach their goal of 100 donations, one for every kilometre of their ride. Any donation made before May 8 will help to pedal medical innovation forward towards a healthier future for all.
