Run for Women raises $165,000 in support of Women’s Mental Health and Addictions Care at St. Joe’s
This past Sunday, over 1,300 participants, donors, sponsors, store owners and associates came together for the Hamilton edition of the Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women! Together, you raised more than $165,000 to support women’s mental health and addiction care here at St. Joe’s and we couldn’t be more grateful!
It was a touch-and-go weekend for weather, but the sun shone brightly on the beach strip at Confederation Park that morning! Thanks to all our participants, including our littlest participants, our 5k walkers and runners, and our 10k runners who all went the distance to support St. Joe’s. Of course, events like this can’t happen without the support of an army of event planners and volunteers, too!
The funds raised will help St. Joe’s to provide compassionate, stigma-free care for women of all ages through the programs and services offered at our Women’s Health Concerns Clinic, Seniors’ Mental Health Program, Youth Wellness Centre, Anxiety Research & Treatment Clinic, Young-Adult Substance Use Program, and Womankind Addiction Centre. So that no matter what brings someone to our doors, the expert team here at St. Joe’s will be ready to help.
